Teams Wave-Op were present in Nantes on the occasion of Seanergy, the leading European event dedicated to marine renewable energies. Over these two days, they welcomed visitors to their stand to present the Dikwe technology and discuss energy-producing port infrastructures with industry stakeholders.
A showcase for the port infrastructures of tomorrow
The trade show provided an opportunity to highlight the technology developed by Wave-Op, which converts wave energy into renewable electricity using oscillating flaps integrated directly into port breakwaters. Designed to address the challenges of the energy transition and coastal adaptation, this solution combines decarbonized energy production, coastal protection, and the utilization of existing infrastructure.
Quentin Henry, co-founder of Wave-Op, also spoke at the «Wave energy making progress – the latest» conference, alongside other European wave energy stakeholders, to share the latest advancements in the sector and the development prospects of this technology.
A Seanergy Award for Innovation
This edition was marked by a great recognition for Wave-Op, with the attainment of the Seanergy Award for Industrial and Technological Innovation. This distinction rewards the innovative approach taken by the company in the development of port infrastructures capable of producing local and renewable energy while strengthening the resilience of maritime structures.
The entire Wave-Op team thanks the organizers, project partners, and the many visitors who came to share and exchange over these two days. This award is a strong encouragement to continue developing this solution for the benefit of ports and coastal regions.
