At Wave-Op, we see waves not as a challenge, but as an opportunity.

Thanks to our technology called Dikwe (Dike Wave Energy), wave energy is becoming a renewable resource and local. Whether integrated into an existing dike, as part of a new dike or deployed at sea, our solution adapts to local constraints to produce carbon-free electricity from the swell.

Installed on the exposed face of the dikes, these flaps act as shock absorbers: they attenuate the violence of the waves, extend the life of the structures, and reduce the need for concrete and thus carbon footprint in construction and renovation projects.

An innovation that combines protection and production, to make every wave count.

The flap-equipped caisson technology can be integrated directly into a seawall (inshore) or positioned further offshore (nearshore), depending on site requirements and configuration.

This flexibility makes it possible to optimize power generation while respecting local harbor uses, development constraints and ocean conditions.

Whatever the configuration, the objective remains the same: capturing energy where it's needed.

Three components, mastered technology

Housing : Civil engineering structure with a dual role of protection and support for all technological components.

Flap : Rotating vertical flap, hinged around a horizontal axis at the top, used to capture and dampen swell.

PTO (Power Take-Off) : Hydraulic system that converts the mechanical energy generated by the flap into electricity.
